The Ohio Wireless Association is a nonprofit organization composed of people who have a common business interest in the wireless communications industry, the purpose of which is to promote that common interest and not to engage in a regular business of a kind ordinarily carried on for profit. We are supported by membership dues and other income from activities substantially related to its exempt purpose.
The Ohio Wireless Association is evolving. The wireless industry is faced with a growing number of state-level regulatory challenges. Those challenges are not limited to one or two states, but are evolving on many different fronts, from California to Ohio, from Michigan to New York, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Florida, and elsewhere. That alone was enough to form a united front. Beyond the threat of unnecessary or damaging regulation, there were other reasons to form the Ohio Wireless Association. Just as politics are local, so is the business of our industry. We serve as a state-level resource to which carriers and others can turn when they need to identify and reach out to each other. The Ohio Wireless Association can fill a void – helping members fight regulatory threats and make the crucial connections they need to advance their mutual business goals.
